Hi! I'm Betty. I came to Dakota Dachshund Rescue to start a new life as a house pet. I love hanging out with my foster mom, I love having a fenced backyard to run in. My journey has just begun to learn to live life as a house pet, I am working hard on house manners such as house training, using stairs to get on the couch, wearing a harness and leash....all those things are amazing but very new to me.
A fenced yard is a must as I don't walk well on a harness and leash, in fact I alligator roll trying to get out of it and can chew a leash in half in no time flat. Do you have the love, time and patience to keep teaching me all the new things I need to know? I am 5 years old, I weigh a bit over 10 pounds, once I settle in I will be about 12 pounds, I'm a bit nervous so I burn lots of calories at this point. My adoption fee is $350 plus sales tax $15.75=$365.75
