Camo came to us as there was a military deployment in the family and it uprooted everyone.  Dachshunds apparently don't meet the guidelines for "service" dogs in the military, so Camo wasn't able to move with his family.

Camo is an awesome guy, but he can't stand to be in an expen or shelter kennel.  Wish he could tell us why that scares him so, but all we have been able to learn is that when people try to pet him or reach for him in an expen or shelter kennel situation, he will nip at people, if he is out on a leash or in his own kennel at home he is an absolute doll.

Once he is out of his kennel, he is an absolute love.  He will stand on his hind legs begging you to pick him up, and there is no time limit on how long you can hold him!  Camo's a lover! He loves his people, he loves his squeaky toys. He's great with all the other dachshunds.
