Doonie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Unfortunately for Doonie his dad had to go to Afghanistan to protect our country. That meant leaving Doonie behind as dad was his favorite and Doonie isn't very good with tiny kids, they move too fast for him and he thinks he has to protect his master. Doonie's looking for a forever home, someone who has as much energy as he does and will love to go on walks and play ball. The following is what Doonie's dad wrote about him.... Here is what Doonie likes: 1. He loves to go for walks...doesn't matter how cold and windy it is outside.
2. He loves attention...all the time.
3. He loves his ears rubbed and pulled.
4. He loves to rough house...but he also love just to be petted.
5. He loves to play with toys and tug of war with his rope toys.
6. He loves to lay in your lap...he is a big time lap dog.
7. He loves to stay outside in the backyard...a fenced in yard is a must for Doonie.
8. He loves to give kisses...all the time.
9. He's very athletic and loves to jump on the dining room table...so keep the chairs under the table to prevent him from jumping on the table and eating your dinner.
10. He loves to walk on the furniture...on the top of the couch...he thinks he's a mountain goat.
11. He's very, very smart...and alert.
12. He loves his belly rubbed.
13. He's very loyal and protectective of his owner (his human).
14. He sleeps in his crate...I forgot to give you his crate and blankets...I just forgot all about it...
15. He loves to nibble on your nose when he licks your face!
16. He loves to jump up and lick your face...at first you may think he's trying to bite you...but he is not...he's only trying to lick you or poke you with his nose.
17. He loves to run the neighborhood...so don't let him get loose or you will spend an hour or so trying to catch him...
