January 2023 Augie update....Augie is growing and doing very well. He is still on blood thinners until he goes back for his cardiology recheck Feb 14th. We are praying his pulmonary artery stent is still in place and his gradient is acceptable for Augie to be available for adoption.

November 11th Augie update.....Dakota Dachshund Rescue's Augie needs your help! He has had some major set backs post pulmonary artery stent procedure and his bills have sky rocketed. He has an ulcer on his eye and he has been to Urgent Care twice for issues with his bladder and having to strain to pee :( His antibiotics and pain meds have been changed and that has helped. If he isn't better by Monday he goes to see the Internal Medicine team on Tuesday. Whether you donate $1, $5, $10, or $500. Every little bit helps us to help these pups that cross our paths. Thank you for your support.

November 3rd Augie update.....
Augie had a set back today, He started having frequent accidents and had red tinged urine so foster mom Jill took him to Urgent Care after chatting with me.

Augie has a lot of red blood cells indicating he has some irritation in his bladder.

We are waiting for test results, they cultured his urine. Will update again after we hear from Augie's cardiology team.

Prayer warriors our little man still needs you

Sept 22nd 2022 Augie update...Augie is doing well, he is now up to 13 lbs. He is scheduled for a stent to be placed in his pulmonary artery on November 2nd. Prayer warriors are needed for our little man!

August 20,2022 Augie update. Augie is doing well on his Atenolol, he is now on his bump up dose to see how he tolerates a higher dose, his foster mom works from home so she is able to observe him after he takes his meds. We will continue to up his dose to where he needs to be to protect his heart until we hear back from Dr Morgan as to when Augie can go back for a pulmonary stent

August 10 2022 Augie update....

Sweet little Augie was seen by Dr Morgan at U of M yesterday for his echocardiogram and assessment.

He has pulmonary artery hypoplasia causing pulmonary stenosis

He will start on atenolol, low dose with supervision to see how he responds to it and doesn't have side effects, we will slowly increase his dose as tolerated to get him to the dose the cardiologist wants him on. We will weigh him weekly and send weights to Dr Morgan to make sure we are adjusting his atenolol according to his weight. The U of M cardiology surgical team will discuss his case to see if he is a candidate for a stent placement as with pulmonary hypoplasia a balloon valvuloplasty would not take care of the issue.

Prayers for our little man while he awaits his medical teams suggestion on how to best care for him so he can eventually have a somewhat normal life

Prayers needed for this sweet boy!

We will start a fundraiser as soon as we know what we are dealing with medical bill wise.

Augie is a french bulldog puppy that came to us with suspected neurolic issues, he checked out fine in that department however it was discovered he has a heart murmur and on evaluation it was discovered he has severe pulmonary valve stenosis. He will travel to Oakdale MN to see Dr George soon.
Please consider sponsoring Augie as he will have medical bills a lot bigger than he is
