Hi! My name is Folly. I am a standard wirehair dachshund. I came to DDR because my mom and dad were moving to a senior living center and I am not good with strangers. I need a strong pack leader, a person who understands my issues and will work with me. I'm a sweetheart once I get to know you but am very shy and bark incessantly when new people come in. I try to run away and hide in my kennel until I get to know you. I need a fenced yard and I am very selective on which dogs I get along with. My foster mom says I shouldn't be around children because of my stranger anxiety, I bark at people I don't know and am afraid of people in uniforms. I am terrified of thunderstorms, fireworks and hide from the vacuum cleaner. I do well with small dogs once I get to know them but am terrified of big dogs. I am food aggressive if you aren't right there to watch over us when fed and I can only have chewies in my kennel or supervised as I get aggressive with other dogs with food or treats. Come meet me to see if I could be a forever friend for you.
