Beagle (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Medium
Ringer is an eight-year old, purebred female Beagle (although we don't have her papers) who has been fixed.
She is housebroken and crate-trained. (We don't keep her in her kennel anymore, but she used to stay in it while we were at work in VA and would sleep in it as well at night. She also travels well in it.) She has all of her basic commands (and does extremely well with them, especially when treats are involved). She also does beg when told to "sit pretty." She's extremely active (loves to run and play), healthy and up to date with all of her shots. She's a beagle, so she does bark, but there's usually a good reason for it. She has always been very good on a leash. She does have a tendency to tug a bit, so we switched to a "pinch collar" and she's a dream on that. She's lived mostly in places with fenced back yards, but she's been really good about not straying on our acreage this past year. Ringer isn't overtly aggressive or anything, but she has always been the "alpha" of her "pack." She's a very sweet dog and would be fantastic with an older couple or a family with older kids. DDR is courtesy posting Ringer for the family. We will forward applications to them so they can help find Ringer the perfect home, one without small children.
